Ruffles for Christmas Journal

I had some scraps leftover from making the preemie Christmas blankets, so I made ruffles for my Christmas journals.

Preemie Christmas Blankets for Linus Project

Linus Project put out a call for Preemie Christmas Blankets.  I went through my fabric stash and found these little cuties.  I was able to make five to donate.  These blankets are used in hospitals to wrap up preemies or drape over their incubators.  They are flannel on one side and cotton fabric on the other side.  They measure 25" square.

Masks for Childrens Center

I made 25 masks for the Krause Children's Center.  I sent off the first 5 without taking a photo, but here are the other 20.

I cut 1/2" strips from a black or white T-shirt for the earpieces.  The fabric rolls and is soft.  I tie each piece in an overhand knot.  That way each person can fit the earpieces for comfort and fit.

Dr. Seuss Quilt and Pillowcase

This is a flip and sew Dr. Seuss quilt.  It was fun and easy to make.   Each strip was cut the width of fabric, around 40".  Which means your quilt finishes about 40" wide. You can cut each strip the same size or vary the sizes, such as 2 1/2", 3 1/2", 4 1/2" and 5 1/2'. (example: 40" x 2 1/2")

It just had to have a pillowcase to match.  Here is a tutorial by Crafty Gemini if you need it.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAomYjHzUQk

Cat and Dog Quilt

I used a Quilt for Kids pattern to make this Cat and Dog Quilt.

The back is paws and fish bones.   Too cute.

Quilts for Kids is a wonderful group.  Please consider making and donating a quilt to this organization.

http://www.quiltsforkids.org/   They have free quilt patterns under How to Help.

Nursing Home Quilt

I belong to a Bee called The Comfort Quilters.  We donate nursing home quilts to as many as 3 or 4 different Homes a year.  Each member receives a quilt at Christmas time.  The ladies in this group are quilting machines.  They make an enormous amount of quilts a year.
This is one of mine for this year.

Victorian Dolls Quilt for Linus

These pictures do not do this quilt justice.  The dolls are beautiful and will make a little girl happy. This quilt was donated to The Linus Group.
