Dr. Seuss Quilt and Pillowcase

This is a flip and sew Dr. Seuss quilt.  It was fun and easy to make.   Each strip was cut the width of fabric, around 40".  Which means your quilt finishes about 40" wide. You can cut each strip the same size or vary the sizes, such as 2 1/2", 3 1/2", 4 1/2" and 5 1/2'. (example: 40" x 2 1/2")

It just had to have a pillowcase to match.  Here is a tutorial by Crafty Gemini if you need it.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAomYjHzUQk

Dr. Seuss Quilt

Yesterday, the Houston Texans lost and will not be playing in the Superbowl next month here in Houston.  I miss J. J. Watts and this makes me very sad.  So, my next choice would be the Steelers and they just won and still have a chance for the Superbowl.  While watching the Steeler game, I am binding my Dr. Seuss quilt.

I purchased this kit several years ago at a Quilt Show.  It is a flip and sew and was a lot of fun to put together.

Love this fabric for binding.  It is cut on the straight of grain but looks like it is cut on the bias.
