Finished Pillowcases for Gifts.

Finished the last two Christmas gifts yesterday.  Two very colorful pillowcases.

Ruffles for Christmas Journal

I had some scraps leftover from making the preemie Christmas blankets, so I made ruffles for my Christmas journals.

Preemie Christmas Blankets for Linus Project

Linus Project put out a call for Preemie Christmas Blankets.  I went through my fabric stash and found these little cuties.  I was able to make five to donate.  These blankets are used in hospitals to wrap up preemies or drape over their incubators.  They are flannel on one side and cotton fabric on the other side.  They measure 25" square.

Merry Christmas

These are some of my most favorite Christmas decorations.  They were a gift, from my          Husband, years ago.  The Three Kings are beautifully done and have a Nativity scene across the front of the three.

Their robes are done in wonderful quilt patterns.

Premmie Quilts for Charity

I am a little behind on my charity work, so I whipped up these three premmie quilts.  The quilts have to be 25" square and have Christmas fabric on one side and flannel on the other.

 I made one blue and two red.  The bottom shows the flannel side.

Monday Night Divas Gift Exchange

I am a member of the Monday Night Divas Bee.  We draw names and exchange Christmas Gifts at a restaurant a few days after Christmas.   We are finished with our family celebrations and the restaurants are still decorated for Christmas.  It works for us.

I wanted to share this cute sewing kit that I received from Pam.   It is so creative and I love the closure button.

All of these goodies were inside of the tube with drawstrings on each end.

Christmas Quilt #2

As I said in my last post, I collected a lot of Christmas fabric in 2011.  So, if you are keeping score, this is Christmas quilt #2 and  'Turning Twenty' #4.  What better way to showcase all those gorgeous fabrics.

I think that I have Christmas quilts out of my system for now.  However, I still have a lot of Christmas fabric, so I see more Christmas quilts in my future.

 

Christmas Stockings

My quilt guild donates Christmas stockings to a local charity each year.  They are filled by the charity and given to local children, along with food and toys to make Christmas brighter for the whole family.  Pictured below are the six that I made this year.

I make my stockings a little different than most people.  I like to make the lining and the cuff as one piece.  I'll put up a tutorial as a separate post.
